Naked in the 21st Century

Have you ever came out naked in a room full of strangers? Of course you have. You were born, weren't you?

But are you aware, as a filmmaker, that when it comes to how the body is portrayed, we in America have less freedom than our European cousins do. Even Asian coutries have a more enlightened view of the human body and this is reflected in their cinema.

"Naked in the 21st Century" is a docu-drama about the history of nudist films in America and includes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a nudist film, as seen through the manager of a fictional naturist resort in Southern California.

What makes the naturist philosophy so appealing is that it's the antithesis of everything that is Hollywood. That's why it's so appealing to independent filmmakers, including myself. But too many people want to make art films.

I don't.

"Naked in the 21st Century" is a documentary made for nudists but is non-nudist friendly, featuring cameos by import models, actors and crew who are all interviewed. This documentary will be presented at film festivals and will be made available on naturist websites.

I am currently developing a short comedy set in a nudist resort as well, and would love to get a web community together to organize such a project.
